We will be in Spain next February and in Barcelona on Feb. 13 and 14, which includes Carnival and Ash Wednesday. Does anyone have any input as to how big a deal this will be regarding crowds? We want to see the major sites and walk around but are wondering how crowded it will be.
We remember arriving in Naples, for the first time, on May Day and it was NUTS. It gave us a great experience seeing the Italians celebrating and it was also even more chaotic than normal for Napoli!!! We happened to be on a RS tour, so our tour guide was very helpful in navigating it all. The curious thing is the next day the city seemed tame by comparison!
