We will be booking tickets to the hot spots in advance. I am curious how crowded Park Guell in particular is in early March and whether we will be able to enjoy the site as much if we don't go in the early AM.
Thanks.

One of the biggest events of the year--the mobile world congress--takes place during the first week of March. I don't know if that affects tourist spots like the Park, but I mention it to keep in mind...
It certainly might affect your ability to walk into certain restaurants that might be popular with visitors to the city...
Park Guell is a big place but if you're interested in avoiding crowds and experiencing a really cool modernist campus, just swap it for the Sant Pau Hospital grounds. You'll have the place relatively to yourself and it's a short walk from Sagrada Familia along a cafe-filled boulevard.
