Barcelona Card - is it worth it?

Hello! Soon my boyfriend and I will be in Barcelona for 4 days (1st week of October) and I'm debating on if we should buy the 96-hour Barcelona Card. I have several questions. I'm hoping to make a decision tonight.

Here it is: https://www.barcelonacard.org/discounts/

To give you a perspective, here's a little background on what we want to see:

  • We plan to use both the Aerobus and the Metro lines.
  • We plan to see Sagrada Familia, Casa Batilo, Casa Mila, Park Guell, Picasso Museum and possibly the Catalan music museum. All other sites will be spur of moment, unplanned. We do know that the Sagrada and Park Guell are separate ticket purchases.

I also know that some of the sites require advance booking with designated time spots. So I'm also confused that if we buy this Barcelona Card, will it secure us advance tickets or the Casa Batilo and Casa Mila? You can see per the discount page that it gives you a $3 euro discount to both. Yet it doesn't say it's an advance ticket. I'm afraid if we don't secure a spot in advance we may run the risk of standing in a long line, even if we do get a $3 euro discount. Which means paying separately for an advance ticket anyway.

Thank you for your input!

I have used various cards and passes in other cities, and last year I decided against buying this one.

The Firenze Card and Vienna Pass give you skip the line access to most of the major sites - giving you some flexibility when you're in those cities. Not with this one.
