we will be in Barcelona area for nephew wedding trip, staying at a vineyard in countryside for 3 nights; We will do 3 nights in Barcelona city prior. Then we have 3-4 days to see another part of country before flying home from Madrid. I would love to go to Andalucia, but how do we prioritize where to visit? Will use Iberia Avios that a I transferred from Amex Reward, so we will fly from BCN; Thinking maybe Malaga and do day trip to Granada or Sevilla with a rental car. I realize it is short time, but that is what we have to work with. Thanks
I don't think you have time to appreciate more than one city in Andalusia. Fly to Grenada, Cordoba OR Seville as you wish. Any ONE of them has enough to see & do for 3 or 4 days without traveling (and consuming time) to anywhere else. Spanish towns should be experienced leisurely enough to allow for unscheduled or unanticipated events and places. Then fly or train to Madrid. Enjoy your trip and plan to return.
What time of year will this be?
i Don’t go to Malaga if you have one place to visit. Seville is the best choice.
thanks all. We are going in Early October.
The timing of most westbound transatlantic flights from MAD means you probably want to be there the night before. If that cuts the extra time from 3-4 to 2-3, maybe skip Andalucia and just visit Madrid?
