Barcelona and Seville or Lisbon?

We are party of 4, 2 kids age 2 and 6. Cant decide whether we should just stay and explore Spain or fly to Lisbon for a few
days..We only have 7 days

Option 1

Fly in to Barcelona

3 nights in Barcelona

Fly to Lisbon for another 3 nights

Option 2

3 nights in Barcelona

Fly to Seville

2 nights in Seville

Train to Madrid but stop over in Cordoba for day trip

Then onto Madrid for the night

We know we want to go to Barcelona..Just wondering whether Seville/Cordoba/Madrid will have more for the kids or should we just fly to Lisbon. My other half is quite keen to get to the beach..is that easier access from Lisbon or is Granada drivable from Seville..

Don't want to over plan especially with kids..any advice welcomed :)

ps. we are going end of May

Barcelona is on the Mediterranean, beach & great waterfront boardwalk.

With 2 little kids and only 7 days, I think both options are too much. If you are flying back from Madrid, why not Barcelona and Madrid? Add in Toledo as a daytrip if you want. Barcelona has a beach that is convenient from the city. And it's a short 2.5 hour train ride.

If you really are set on Sevilla, I'd suggest the train rather than flying with 2 kids. You might be able to get a seating for 4 with a table. But even if not, the kids can move around on the 5 hour trip and you'll at least see the scenery. You save little time flying.

I like Lisbon but I would not choose it over Sevilla. And I assume you'd fly home from Lisbon, not backtrack to Madrid to fly home?

With such limited time I would split my time between Barcelona and Madrid only. Fly in to one and out from the other. Fast trains between the two are more child friendly than a flight to Sevilla. The kids would love Segovia from Madrid, with its spectacular aqueduct and fairytale castle.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Yes if we are going to Lisbon then will fly back from there.
Why Sevilla over Madrid? We didn't want to do 2 big cities hence Sevilla seems like a bit more of a contrast to Barcelona.
We thought a day in Madrid might be enough?
Still undecided but sticking to just Spain seems like a wiser plan?
