My husband and I, along with our 3 daughters (20, 18, and 15), will be travelling to Spain in late June for 12 nights (on the ground). We will be flying into Barcelona (lands at 10:00 am) and out of Seville (departs at 2:00 pm). Only my husband has been to Spain before, but we are saving Madrid and parts north for another trip. I could use some help filling in the details of our itinerary.
From Barcelona, we will likely fly to Granada, and then we would like to stay in or at least visit Nerja, Ronda (or another White Hill town), Gibraltar and Tangier (staying in Tarifa) before heading to Seville. We also plan on picking up a car as we leave Granada and dropping it off in Seville. Debating things like staying in Barcelona for 4 nights, then Granada for 2 nights vs. 3 nights in Barcelona and an evening flight the next day to Granada for 3 nights. We also prefer not to stay somewhere for less than 2 nights, but will if necessary.
We have a good idea of what kinds of things we want to do, but I welcome any suggestions for restaurants, lodging, unique experiences, etc. With 5 of us, we usually get 2 hotel rooms for stays of 1 or 2 nights, but will find an apartment for longer stays.
Thanks!
