How long a walk is it from International Arrivals to the taxi stand versus the station for trains into downtown? We have a friend coming with us recovering from ankle surgery. Thank you very much in advance.
Have you asked your airline about wheelchair service?
Thanks for the reply. He will be mobile by then. It just seemed like a half hour walk from the gate to the train station on a video I saw whereas the taxis seemed like half that.
I found it to be a pretty good hike to the Barcelona underground, but not as far as walking in many airports. International travel is not some place that a traveler with a marginal ability to walk should attempt to deal with airports.
My wife is now mobility challenged, and we can go anywhere with an electric folding travel scooter. Her scooter has a 10 mile range and it runs 7 mph--faster than I can walk. I've had her in Las Vegas and Berlin this year with it. I tow her rolling bag and my carry on is a backpack style.
I took the Aerobus a month ago and I can confirm it was very very easy way to get to the center. And the return ticket was only 10.20€ which is quite cheap if you ask me.
Just check if its stops are convenient for you. I needed to go to Placa Catalunya, so that was perfect.
Yes, Aerobus is much better than the train. It's cheaper and stops at both terminals and in central locations in Barcelona. No reservations needed.
I concur, Aerobus is the easiest way. Unless you're travelling on a very tight budget, then there's a cheaper way to do that itinerary, I'd go for the Aerobus.
