Hello,
We will have to make a few trips to and from the airport to center city. The hotel is charging 60 euro for a pickup. What is the most affordable way to make the trip, and how long will it take?

The Aerobus from Plaça Catalunya is comfortable and cheap. A return ticket is 11,65€ but check on the period of validity. There are other options for multiple days they might work.

I guess it depends on where you hotel is. We took the train then walked to our hotel. Rather than walking we could also have used the metro.

We go there in 10 days. We will use their taxis everywhere. They come highly recommended. Cheaper and plentiful we hear. This is advice from locals and others who post on this travel forum.

We also took the Aeorbus from the airport and dropped us off in Placa Catalunya, very affordable and quick. Return also from the drop off in the Placa. The pick up at the airport was directly from the International terminal as you leave to ground transport.

Travel like a local and take Bus 46. It stops at each terminal and it does a straight shot to Plaza Espanya. Leaves quite frequently. All locals so no pickpockets like on the metro. Goes past Ikea in each direction. maybe 30 minutes to Espanya.

The most affordable way is a 3-minute walk from Terminal 2–where all international flights arrive at Barcelona’s Prat airport. It costs €4.60, takes 25 minutes and is on the commuter rail line R2 NORD which will take you to both Barcelona Sants and Passeig de Gracia train/metro stations. R2 NORD trains depart every half hour and tickets can be bought at ticket booths or vending machines. Once at the Passeig de Gracia Train/ Metro station there are connections to Metro lines that can take you directly to Sagrada Familia and many of Barcelona’s top attractions. Passeig de Gracia is right next to Casa Pedrera/Mila, Casa Battlo, and many other Modernista masterpieces.
Taxis from BCN into the city center start at €30 ( from T2) to €40 (from T1) with surcharges for weekends or late night travel, cruise port travel and during fiestas.
