Barcelona airport info

Hi! We are leaving Barcelona and headed to seville tomorrow. Our flight leaves at 9am and we just received a text that there is an underground strike on Monday, it says plan accordingly. Does this just mean that we can't take the metro during 7-9am? If we take a taxi, should we be fine? An advice is appreciated. FYI we are in the eixample area, next to San pau.

I am not in Barcelona and have no details about the impending strike, but last year I used the Aerobus from Placa Catalunya to get to the airport. It departs from the side of the plaza in front of El Corte Ingles and the stop is well marked, though you're likely to see a bus waiting there, anyway. You can Google for the schedule and fare (well under 10 euros last year). There may be separate buses going to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, so check on your departure terminal before buying the bus ticket. There are vending machines right at the bus stop.

I am assumung "we" means just two people. If you are a group of 3 or more, a taxi might make sense. And of course if you're not staying in a part of the Eixample that's close to Placa Catalunya, you might want to opt for a taxi anyway.

Strike?... don't think so... metro will be working normally this Monday and taxis already had their strike last week. Kristallyn, your sources might not have up-to-date information. For several weeks, the metro workers have held strikes on Monday in protest for the negotiation of the collective agreement, but there's no strike planned for this Monday (5th June).

Thanks for info Acraven and Enric. Vueling sent us an email with that information last night. We took a taxi and it all worked out great.

Thanks:))
