What is the best area to stay in Barcelona? Hotel or air bnb recommendations?

Hi Sally
What are you looking for in Barcelona? Are you looking for a room for one person or two or four?
I stayed at Hotel Continental Barcelona which was recommended to me by forum. Very happy with lodging. Would recommend and would stay again.

L’ Eixample and Gracia are two central neighborhoods to stay in Barcelona. There’s also the Gothic Quarter, El Ravel and Poblenou.
L’Eixample has the advantage of being near many of Gaudi’s and Montaner’s Modernista architecture. L’ Eixample also is convenient for transportation because its Passeig d’ Gracia is a station for both Metro and Rodalies trains.

Thanks for such quick responses. There are 2 of traveling. I did locate an air bnb in the area you recommended but can cancel if something better comes up.
