We are in the early planning stages of a trip thru the South of France and Northern Spain. We will have 4 days to spend in the Asturias Region towards the end of our trip. One goal is to hike the Rio Cares Gorge in the Picos. We will be coming from San Sebastian and I understand the coastline is spectacular along the northern tip of Spain there. What would be the best place to base and see the best sights along the coast and still be able to do the Rio Cares Gorge? Does anyone know of a charming inn to stay in the area?
