Hoping to be in Madrid and Barcelona this summer. When I was in the Basque region, many businesses were closed on Sunday. Is this the case for all of Spain? Thanks.

I had trouble finding open grocery/convenience stores in Madrid on a Sunday. No problems in Barcelona with the same type store.
I did notice in Barcelona that many of the big stores on Passeig de Gracia were closed on Sunday. Department stores in Madrid that I noticed had Sunday hours.
My observations only. I wasn't looking to shop except for a Madrid grocery store that I couldn't find open. I'm sure there were some, but they seemed limited - I was googling.
