Im trying to book an apartment in Spain for this summer for 4 nights. Where is Av Diagonal in relation to Las Ramblas? Just trying to get my bearings. iw ant to be near las Ramblas but not right on it!

You can look it up on Google Maps, as I just did. Of course it depends on where on each street you want to be, but they are not at all close together. Avenida Diagonal is about 10 blocks beyond the end of Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya. Google Maps will show you a good street map.

Jenandvic: try booking a reasonable apartment through Airbnb.com. You can see and book the apartment all online.

We have been very happy with Cross-Pollinate.com for lodging. We stayed in an apartment in Barcelona last year. There are a range of accommodations and prices in Barcelona.
