We are planning a trip for early next fall, traveling north to south in Europe. We plan to finish up on a costal town in Spain, but not too far south. Has anyone spent any time in L'Ametlla de Mar? If so, did you like/dislike it and why? Or do you have other suggestions for costal towns between Barcelona and Valencia? Thanks!

My friend in Barcelona has a beach house in l’Ametlla, as do his parents and brother, in the same complex. I have visited a number of times and always enjoy a relaxed time there. The old town and the central beach are quite traditional, in contrast to many new developments along the coastline.
