Andulucia questions in final planning.

  1. Any reccommendations for travel between Ronda and Seville -I see we can go by train with a transfer in many towns or by bus straight there-has anyone done this and have a preference?

  2. We will have a car with friends from Granada to Ronda.-before checking into our hotel in Ronda, we will pass Ronda and visit Zahara and Grazelema. For those who have been, should we visit one town before the other? We plan to arrive in Ronda late in the day and will spend much of the next day there. Or is this too much, and better to visit just one hill town, Zahara, and go straight to Ronda from there.?

We will need to take public transportation from Ronda to Seville, as our friends are taking the car to Gibraltar to visit family while we head to Seville.
Hope this makes sense-thanks for any input!.

Denise,

It's best to take the Los Amarillos bus, from Ronda to Sevilla, as there are multiple buses traveling this route.

Make sure you choose, "Sevilla Prado S.S.", as your destination and not, "Cruce Sevilla".

We didn't visit the hill towns of Zahara & Grazalema, but they are both very close to each other.

I'm sure others will chime in with their experience.

Enjoy Spain!

We just returned from there--we took the Amarillos bus from Ronda to Seville. Very convenient and quick. Better than making train transfers.

We did a private tour with Alex from Entrelenguas (http://entrelenguas.es/)--and in a little less than 8 hours (and without hurrying) we visitied Zahara, Grazelema, and Setenil de las Bodegas (very interesting)... and also we did a tour of an olive press. I'm singing the praises of Alex and Entrelenguas--that day was fabulous! I highly recommend doing that.

We took the bus and it is very straightforward; I wouldn't be switching trains or whatever. We then took a train to Granada and one onward to Madrid a couple of days later. You do want to make train reservations as soon as you know your itinerary as prices go up.
