Andalusia itinerary help

Hi,
I am flying into Granada in and fly out from Seville Feb next year. My initial itinerary is 3 days in Granada, 2 days in Cordoba and 4 days in Seville. I’d like to do a day trip to Nerja Granada, and Ronda and Cadiz from Seville. How does it sound?

What is the best location to stay in Granada, Cordoba and Seville? I’d like old town feel and good proximity to tourist attractions.

Thank you!

When you say "days," do you mean full days? Or nights? For example, does 3 days in Granada mean you'll sleep there 4 nights and have 3 full days in between? Or is that the number of nights you'll sleep there? If it's nights, then you only have 3 full days in Seville, and it's pushing it to give up one of them for a day trip. Depends on what you want to see in Seville. Otherwise, the timing is okay.

In Granada I stayed at the Hotel Casa del Capitel Nazarí (https://www.hotelcasacapitel.com/), which was very nice and well located. In Córdoba, there are many excellent places to stay close to the Mezquita. I reserved at the Hotel Hacienda Posada De Vallina (https://www.hhposadadevallina.es/), but they upgraded me to an apartment in the San Basilio neighborhood, about ten minutes walk from there. It's a great neighborhood with excellent restaurants and several of the patios Córdoba is famous for. In Seville I stayed at an airbnb easy walking distance to the Cathedral and the Alcazar.

I'm hoping you are counting the days, not nights. So, you will have four full days to sight see in Sevilla? So likely five nights? I feel like you should concentrate on Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada. I don't think you have enough time to visit Ronda and Cadiz from Sevilla, and they really aren't that close.

In Cordoba, I stayed close to the Mezquita, in fact right next to it. In Sevilla we stayed in the old town area, close to the cathedral, in Granada, we were close to the royal chapel.

Stick to your initial itinerary. Skip Nerja, Ronda and Cadiz and you will have a great trip!

Oh, and in Seville, highly recommend H10 Casa de la Plata.

‘‘Twas years ago, but we quite liked Casa 1800 in Granada, and I’ve seen positive comments about it recently on this forum.

On that trip, we also stayed at Hotel Maimonides in Cordoba. It was nice, then. And there is nothing closer to the Mezquita. Check for current reviews though.

FWIW, Trip Advisor gives Casa 1800 4.6, but only 3.9 to Maimonides.

Hi, I’ve stayed at all of the cities you’ve mentioned including the ones you’re listing as day trips. Unless you really want to see the water, I would skip Nerja, although nearby Frigiliana is a pretty white village to photograph if you aren’t at any other white villages.

I liked Cadiz a lot. You could take a train there from Sevilla if you end up wanting a day trip when you’re there. But there’s a lot to do in Sevilla.

I stayed in these two hotels last February :
Cordoba - H10 Palacio Colomera Hotel is architecturally one of the prettiest buildings on Plaza de las Tendillas
Sevilla - Las Casas De El Arenal, which is very close to the cathedral.
