Andalucia with three teenage sons in March

My family of five is traveling to Andalucia in March. We have three teenage sons who are really active. I am wondering if my initial itinerary is too difficult to do in our 8 nights in Spain and I have a few other questions as I try to make plans.

-1 Night Cordoba (train from Madrid to Cordoba)

-3 Nights Sevilla (train from Cordoba to Sevilla)

-1 Night Ronda (Rent Car and drive from Sevilla to Ronda and visit 2-3 Pueblos Blancos along the way)

-2 Nights Granada (Drive from Ronda to Granada).

-1 Night Madrid (Car/Train or bus from Granada to Madrid - not for sight-seeing, just to get us closer to the airport for our 3:00pm flight home)

1) Does this seem like too much for 8 nights? What would you cut out?
2) Hike recommendation between Ronda and Granada (not that interested in El Caminito del Rey. I think we would rather hike something that took up less of our day).
3) Granada - I am thinking of renting an AirBnB in the Sacromonte area -- will I regret this because it is a long walk to all of the sites?
4) Getting from Granada to Madrid - should we keep our rental car even though we won't be using it in Granada, or take the train - but it doesn't have that many direct times a day, or take a bus?

With teens, no one night stands-this is supposed to be a vacation. Also, have you plugged them into what they want to do? We have taken 5 of our 6 grands' to the EU, however, we made them co-designers of the trip. Finally, you might want to hop on one of the Camino routes for a couple of hours to get the flavor of it.

Thanks, Nick for the detailed response! So for your answer to Qu.1) would you visit white towns and then drive straight to Granada- adding an extra night to Granada? I was thinking that would be too much driving for one day and why I added the night in Ronda - plus I thought that way we could see Ronda later in the day after most tour groups leave.

Qu.3) The plan is to return our rental car when we first get to Granada. The staying in Sacromonte was mostly for my kids who thought it would be cool to stay in a cave, but you are probably right about making our stay more central.

Qu. 4) I think the train is probably the best option since the drive is five hours. Then we can just sit back and relax at the end of our trip.

jkgaliger thanks for your response too! The funny thing about my teens is they love to be surprised by what we do and they really don't mind being on the go. The oldest is 19 and we've been doing similar trips over the years and the trips that they like the most are the ones we pack in the sights- which is why we are headed to Cordoba, Sevilla and Grandad and not the beach.

For the hike, I think you are referring to El Camino de Santiago, which isn't close to where we will be. I mentioned El Caminito del Rey, which I don't think you would want to jump on and off of :)

Thanks again for the comments!
