Hello, wise people! I will be traveling in July with 3 friends on a girls trip from Barcelona, going south. We are renting a car and staying in Altea for 3 nights. We plan to stop at Peniscola for lunch. Are there any other places we should do a short stop, or should we head to our destination in Altea to enjoy more time there? (We probably won't be leaving Barcelona until noon or a bit later.) Will parking in Peniscola be an issue?
Does anyone have any recommendations for things to do/see or places to eat in Altea? We will be hitting the Tuesday market. We have thoughts of going to Guadalest after the market, although I understand it can be very crowded in July. Is that wise? Then we will head back for our sedond night in Altea. The next day we will return car in Benidorm and we are taking a buggy tour to the Algar Waterfalls. I guess what we need most are recommendations for places to eat. Maybe one nice restaurant and a couple of more casual places for tapas or the Valencian equivalent of paella in Altea?
After Altea we will be spending two nights in Alicante. We have plenty of things to do booked, (boat ride, cooking class, tuk tuk tour), but we do need places to eat. Any suggestions and do we need reservations for July?
And lastly, our final night in Spain will be in Madrid, staying at the H10 Villa de la Reina hotel on the Gran Via. Any suggestions for a cool place for our final dinner near there? Thank you for any help or advice!
