Alicante

We're planning a trip to Spain, and one of our destinations for a four-night stay is Alicante. My husband enjoys fishing, so we're looking for advice on how to find a good local fishing guide. Any tips on resturants?

Also, has anyone visited Villajoyosa? We're considering it as a potential place to live for three months next year and would love some tips on how to evaluate the best options while we're there.

Lastly, we'll be visiting both Salamanca and Alicante in mid-October. What kind of clothing should we pack to stay comfortable in both the cooler and warmer climates?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Any weather app can provide temperature information. Right now it appears both the Salamanca and Alicante areas will have highs in the mid to upper 70s and lows in the 50s in mid-October. Only you know how you need to dress with that range.

If it was my trip I’d pack short sleeve shirts and a very light jacket for walking around at night. In the event of a warmer day, maybe a pair of shorts.

If you don't have an EU passport or some sort of long-stay visa for Spain, you need to be careful about the timing of your trip. US and Canadian citizens are limited to 90 days in the entire group of Schengen countries (of which Spain is one) within any rolling 180-day period. Both arrival day and departure day count. Three months is longer than 90 days.
