Alhambra tour guide - small group

My wife and I purchased General Life and Palace tour tickets for Alhambra on September 7th. However, we have decided that we would like to join a tour group. Looking for someone to accommodate us, knowing that we already have tickets. It appears that most tours include tickets.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations or suggestions.

I purchased a guidebook to the Alhambra and Granada, prior to our ticket date. Mine has a red cover and seemed to be sold most places in Granada. We did some reading before we visited the Alhambra and carried along the guidebook while we visiting.

One thing that might be counterintuitive was to hang back in our time group so we were the last people in our time slot to enter. Then there was a gap before the let the next group in and we had some of the areas to ourself. Or just go in and "hang back" until many people move on.

Thanks for the tip.... We will see about downloading an audio guide as well. However my preference at this point is for a tour guide. It just seems to make the experience a bit more enjoyable when there is a local export providing additional color commentary.

Absolutely, I hope you find something. There are guides recommended in the RS guide. Have you checked there?

Has anyone used the guides for alhambra recommended in RS book?
Cicerone Tours, Margarita Ortiz de Landazuri or Miguel Angel? We have a group of 4 and wanted to hire a private guide. Any help is apprciated. MH

We used Margarita and she was absolutely wonderful. She gave great value for the money.
I can recommend her wholeheartedly.

Margarita Ortiz de Landazuri is awesome! We have used her services twice, on 2 different trips with different people. Highly recommend!

Just so you are aware, it is the "Generalife" (pronounced "hen-er-a-LEE-fay").
