Alhambra tour

Is it recommended to take a tour of the Alhambra in Grenada or tour on your own?

I think it's personal preference. We explored it on our own and enjoyed it that way as it's a huge complex and we could spend as much or as little time as we wanted in each area.

I would take a guided tour. My sister and I saw and learned much more than if we went on our own. Can you have a good experience exploring on your own? Sure. However, if you want the best experience for what may be a once in a lifetime visit, get a guide.

I highly recommend Margarita Ortiz de Landazuri whom you can contact at: [email protected]

Been there, done that, its awesome. Do it on your own
Tip # 1 Buy Gold tickets online, that includes the palaces, ( you must pick a time slot to see the palaces)
Tip # 2 Alhambra is on a mountain, which is quite steep in places. Do yourself a favor and Taxi , or other means,
to the top entrance gate.
Do the upper gardens, then lower down, the towers ,ect and the palaces, ( time slot)
Then continue downwards through the Alhambra,
Exiting , and farther down the road is Plaza de Santa Ana, very nice area, food drinks ect..
Its about a good 6 hours.
Next day take a Get Your Guide Tour, its free just tip well,
Tour leaves Plaza de Santa Ana and tours Sacromonte.
It"s the other mountain side of Alhambra, Very interesting area, and cave dewellers,( For Real)
A must see.

If you have time see Ronda, 1 full day,Stunning!
then back to Mllaga, I"m assumming your flying from
