I'm purchasing an Alhambra General ticket for September 21st and all time slots are available for entry into the Palacios Nazaries.
I am going to follow Ricks suggestion and tour the Charles V palace and the Alcazaba before the Nazaries. Any suggestions for timing my visit to try and avoid crowds? I was thinking 6 pm for the Nazaries timed ticket?
Jill,
We just got back from a 3 week trip to Spain and we did visit Granada and of course the Alhambra. We had purchased tickets a couple of months prior and our timed slot for the Nazaries was for noon. It was very crowded. We walked the rest of the area for at least a couple of hours and it was just as crowded. I would suggest going around 4-6. May is really busy in southern Spain but I believe September would be just as busy. We walked up to the Alhambra and entered through the Justice Gate and if you are able that is the way to go and then walk down after your visit. We ended our visit in the Generallife gardens.
