Has anyone gotten this for Granada. The description says valid for 3 days, includes Alhambra General ticket and several minor Albayzin sights. We will be in Granada for 2 days and one evening. Is it worth spending our second day in this area. Not sure what the minor sights are either.
Just my opinion, but not worth it unless you had already planned on seeing the other sights included with the pass. Use the better part of one day to visit the Alhambra and Generalife and use the other day seeing the rest of the city.
I thought so. The more I read the more I think it isn’t necessary to pay the extra money. Thanks for confirming.
The other included sights are very inexpensive if you buy individual tickets, so the Dobla de Oro won't save you a significant amount of money even if you have time to go to all of those sights, which is very unlikely to be the case. On the other hand, it's so cheap that it wouldn't waste much money, either. Too bad all decisions about city sightseeing cards aren't so easy.
We just did the Dobla de Oro sights last week when we had time to kill between checkout and out train to Madrid. It was an enjoyable couple hours, and the sultan’s mother’s palace had great views. The baths were cool. The third site wasn’t much at all. We paid €5/pp for a combined ticket
I enjoyed it, but I don’t know I would cram it into a schedule.
Oh, and the walk was pretty. But steep!
Thank you for the info. I’m just booking all our train tickets - going to Seville from Granada. The train is in the afternoon so maybe we’ll have time. We booked our Alhambra tickets for October 12, Spain’s National holiday. I might also book the night time tickets too for the night before.
My opinion is the bus from Granada to Seville is a better choice. Theres more time options, you can get an early bus (instead of an afternoon train) and arrive earlier. Also cheaper. And for only a half hour longer trip.
Thanks for the info. I will check the bus schedule
