Planning my trip to Spain in late May and I will be in Granada for a day to visit the Alhambra. Has anyone booked a tour company that will take you from Granada to the Alhambra and give you a good guided tour. We don't want to be bored, we are in our late 30s and want to still be able to wander around by ourselves for a bit.
We would like to do this only because I am worried about purchasing tickets online and then finding transportation to and fro.

We toured the Alhambra by ourselves so can't recommend a tour company.
If you equip yourselves with a good guidebook such as Rick Steves' Spain book, you can easily get to the Alhambra and enjoy your visit of this magnificent complex.
You can easily get to/ fro the Alhambra by taking a minibus from the city center.

Very easy to do yourself. There is no concern with transportation from Granada to the Alhambra - the Alhambra is IN Granada, not miles out of town. There is a mini-bus, taxis galore and it is walkable. A steep walk, granted, but not long. Only a mile from the Cathedral, for example.
