Alhambra - Outstanding Private Tour Guide

I highly recommend that you engage Margarita Ortiz de Landazuri for a private tour of the Alhambra & Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife, while visiting Granada. She is extremely knowledgeable about the sites and their history, speaks perfect English, was a great communicator during our correspondence about our reservation, general logistics, the meeting place, etc. We cannot thank Margarita for the additional assistance she provided to my partner who had "tourist tummy" the day of our tour and needed a little extra help and care from a local -- which she provided willingly. Margarita has a great personality and made the tour a ton of fun for us. And, hey, she is a great photographer and took some of the best photos of us while on holiday.

What does she charge for 2 people and how long does her tour last? My sister and I will be in Granada on 3/12 and already have our tickets.

It is good that you already have your own tickets for the Alhambra as Margarita's tour does not include the tickets to the sites.

I forgot to mention that Margarita is highly recommended by Rick Steves, which is how our friend who recommended her to us, learned about her.

I do not recall off the top of my head what the exact cost was -- somewhere between $130 and $150 -- for a full 3 hours.
Totally worth it as it was just the 2 of us and Margarita which you appreciate once you see the huge groups trying to hear the guide from the back of a crowd. She was very skilled at maneuvering us so that we avoided being overwhelmed by other tour groups.
