Hi! I bought my Alhambra tickets and the Nasrid entry is 10:30 am. in October. We plan to print out tickets before hand and enter Justice Gate. What time should we enter? Do we go at 8:30 am? We plan to get the audio headsets. I guess I'm asking what would be the itinerary once we are inside. How long can we stay ?What time should we line up outside the Nasrid Palace? Any suggestions would help. Thank you.
It doesn't make any difference when you enter. We were there most of the day. However, you only have a 30 min window for entry to the Nasrid. Don't miss it. When we were there they were very strict with late arrivals. After that you are free to roam.
You can enter when you want. I am there late October and was surprised to read that sunrise for most of the month isn't until 8:30 or so. This means that your 8:30 arrival could present some early dawn landscape photos off the Alcazar part of the site - if you are interested.
Some websites are still the old information that states there is morning or afternoon tickets, but this is no longer the case. The only things you need to know is that you need to show your ticket to enter 3 areas - and you can only enter them once, but the rest are free to roam around in. Once in a ticketed area there is no time limit to stay there. And as mentioned, you must enter Nazrid by 11 a.m. or forfeit your entry.
If you don't want to arrive at 8:30, at the very least arrive in time to be in line 20 minutes before your entry time. If you enter through the Justice Gate, you are only a few minutes from the Nasrid line up. If for some reason (like the taxi dropping off at the wrong gate) it is approx. 15 minute walk from the main gate to the Nazrid line up.
