We're taking a ferry from Tangier to Algeciras in April & want to immediately head to Gibraltar. How is the best way to get to Gibraltar without a car? Thanks!

Hi, I'm also exploring the possibility of a Tangier and Gibraltar side trip as part of a Morocco trip later in 2025 (still very early planning stages!). I've been relying heavily on Seat61.com to plan the Algeciras leg. According to Seat61, you can either get a taxi from Algeciras to the Gibraltar border crossing for a flat rate of €24.75 or take the public M-120 bus. If you look at the bus company website, it seems there's also the M-120D express bus, same route, less stops. It looks like you'll need a 2-zone fare, €2.60. I would love to hear about your experience!

Seems like there would be an option to go straight to Gibraltar skipping Algeciras altogether. If not, there is a bus that runs between the two. The M120 bus will get you to La Línea de la Concepción and from there you can walk or take a taxi.
On the bus schedule under frequency:
LS - Monday-Saturday
LV - Monday-Friday
S - Saturday
D - Sunday
Decades ago when the border was closed, if one wanted to visit Gibraltar it was Spain to Morocco then a ferry back to Gibraltar.
