Hi Forum!
So I totally missed booking tickets for the Alcazar and now it’s sold out online.
Can I still get tickets on the day of if I go early in the morning?
If yes and if I go early in the morning, can I get tickets for a later time entrance or do I have to buy ticket and enter then?
Thank you for your help. It’s trip starts 5/8!
Which Alcázar are you referring to? Derived from Arabic, the word means palace or fortress and many cities in the country have one. For example, Jerez de la Frontera, Sevilla, Segovia, Murcia, etc.
Do you mean the Alhambra in Granada?
I’m so sorry!
I’m referring to Royal Alcazar of Seville!
Thank you!
It’s been 12 years, but when we visited we just walked up to the ticket booth the morning we were visiting. If you are going to be in Sevilla a few days, maybe stop by and get tickets when you arrive in the city for whichever day you want to visit.
Maybe look on Viator or something for a group tour with tickets included.
I may have bought mine a few days before or just lined up before opening (Nov 2017). Just keep watching. And if you are on your own, it might be easier. I will say, however, the extra reserved ticket for the Royal Apartments were sold out with no chance for same day purchase. I don't feel I missed anything not seeing them. Spain has such rich history.
I see plenty tickets available

The warning to get tickets in advance has, in the past, been because of what can be a very long line stretching across an uncovered patio. I'd be very surprised if you couldn't get a ticket by going early and lining up. I would guess, but do not know for sure, that you'd be able to buy a ticket for later in the day (but it could be quite hot then).
I agree with the earlier poster, though, that the official website seems to have tickets available for your time period.
Thank you everyone!
I have no idea what happened this morning but now when I checked the link, there are plenty of tickets!
Yay!
Thank you for all your help.
Websites definitely do sometimes have issues. It's really frustrating when it happens while you're putting together a trip. On occasion one of these techniques will work:
- Try a different browser.
- Try a different type of device (PC/tablet/smartphone)
Often, you just need to be patient.
