Alcazar in Seville

I'm trying to book tickets online and am confused. I want to purchase tickets to enter the general Alcazar and the Royal Apartments. Going in September and the main area opens at 9:30am. There is an entry time slot you can reserve online. Is the time slot for entering the general Alcazar site or is it only for the Royal Apartments tour? If it's for the RA tour, and the slot time is 11am, can I enter the general Alcazar site at 9:30, explore the area, and then go on the 11am RA tour? What I don't want is to think I can enter the general Alcazar area at 9:30am and be told, "your entry time is at 11am".

U can enter at 09.30 and see Alcazar first and then go to The Royal Apartments tour at 11.

I will be going to Seville in early October. I do not know what time I will have to get into the Alcazar in Seville. Is it a problem to get a "walk up" ticket for general admission then?

From what I've read you should be fine. Might have to wait a bit in line but in early October it most likely wouldn't be long. Anyone with more knowledge should weigh in on this. RS's book suggests getting inside, and then immediately going to get a tour reservation to visit the Royal Apartments (Cuarto Real Alto) if you want to do that optional tour.

We were there in the spring and had no trouble buying walkup tickets but the Royal Apartments were only open in the morning and since we went in the afternoon we missed that. The Alcazar is amazing -- very close to the experience of the Alhambra. A must see in Seville.

We were there in June and just walked up, but it was late in the day. I doubt you would have a problem in September though.
