Alahambra access

Oh no! Despite my best intentions for getting tickets well in advance I see alahambra tickets are sold out currently for the days I plan to be there. Dilemma : wait to see if more tickets become available one month out (currently 5plus weeks out) versus bite the bullet and pay a fortune for a guided tour thst states it will deliver the Palacios Nazaries? Any help appreciated!

Can take a look at the Granada Card. The 48 and 72 hour ones include the Nasrid Palace. When the tickets are sold out, sometimes you can still get a ticket thru the card. The 72 hr one has more selection then the 48 hr one.

GetYourGuide matched me up with a shop that had bought up a bunch of spots. Expensive (100+ euros) but, for me, absolutely worth it. I failed to plan ahead sufficiently.

A Dobla de Oro General ticket is also reasonably priced. Check to see whether those are still available for your dates.

If they have availability the days you plan to be there, you might consider staying at the Parador right on the grounds...special evening access to the Alhambra. Also, I do not know if it is still the case, but if you are a senior, check to see if they still have the senior program (called Sunny Days or something like that), which offers some savings.

When we stayed there, many years ago, our room had a little French balcony of sorts, and we overlooked the garden.

We have very fond memories of our stay. We visited in early April that year.

Rick's 2024 Spain guidebook says that more tickets will be released 30 days out.
