Trying to determine best transportation options for party of 5 between airport and apartment near Hospital Clinic de Barcelona. We are interested in getting as close to the apartment as possible (we don't mind walking a few blocks given luggage): Aerobus' closest spot is Placa de Catalunya--which looks about 10-12 blocks away from apartment location. So, that might not work. Taxi may be better bet, but sounds like it might be challenging to find a taxi that holds 5 people. Is this true? Or...I see there is local train, Rodalies, and what looks like we would take to Placa de Catalunya and change to Provenca train station --which looks like about 2-3 blocks away (easier to walk these blocks with luggage vs. 10-12). Anyone familiar with Rodalies?
With a party of 5, I'd go with a taxi for sure, if you can find one at the airport taxi stop to fit your needs, they come in all types and sizes.
Thank you Carlos & Bill!
We were a party of 5. Took the train into the city from the airport and a taxi back to the airport (very early flight). Taxi we reserved the night before. There are many companies. Google taxis and call one and tell them you have 5 ppl and date/time you will be waiting...
Mind me, but if you go to the taxi line at the airport, outside the terminal, when it's your turn just ask the taxi marshall to call a minivan for you. It might take a few extra minutes, but it shouldn't be too long. The taxi rank at the airport holds an average of 1200-1500 taxis.
Cost-wise is barely a few euros more than a regular taxi, so this itinerary -in normal traffic conditions- should cost you less than 50€ (for the five of you), including supplements, in fact, it'll probably cost you around 35-40€
Thank you Jessica and Enric!
