Hi. We arrive early tues morning and I am unsure about getting to Charmatin from airport. We are lying from states. We’ve been to Madrid before but I don’t remember options. Our train to Bilbao isn’t until later in the afternoon. How can we get from airport to train station? We will have bags of course. Can we store our bags in train station while we get lunch? Any recommendations around train station? Thx

We’ll use the metro to get to the station from the airport. Get on the metro at the airport and take it to the Colombia station. Then switch to the purple (line 9) and take it to Plaza de Castilla. From it, you can either walk the few blocks to the station, or take the dark blue (line 10) to Chamartin. There are other line combinations that will get you there. Although slightly longer, it may be quicker to take the metro from the airport directly to the Nuevo Ministerios station, then switch to line 10 to Chamartin.
