Air travel on May 1 (Labor Day)

We will be ending a RS tour in Porto, Portugal on Sunday May 1, and plan to fly to Barcelona that day. Has anyone had experience with labor strikes impacting travel on that day? Or restaurant closures?

Also, the flight I am looking at is an Iberian flight, operated by Vueling, neither of whom I've heard of. Good choice?

You should be fine.

Iberia is the national carrier of Spain and has been around nearly 100 years. Vueling is a discount airline.

Both airlines are owned by IAG which also owns British Airways and Aer Lingus among others.
