Air travel from Barcelona to Grenada

We are planning a trip from Barcelona to Grenada in early May. Our preference would be to fly. Does anyone have experience with Air Europa or Iberia airlines? Recent reviews ( within the last 6 months) of Vueling on trip advisor were very unfavorable. No recent information regarding Vueling on this site that I could locate.

Thank you.

You'll be fine with Vueling, it's the most popular domestic airline in Spain. I've flown with them countless times and never had a major issue. Besides the flight will be so short, only only 1 hour and 30 minutes. You'll barely have time to worry before you're getting off the plane lol;

I flew Granada to Barcelona on Vueling. Not the first problem of any kind. It's a 1 hr. flight as Spain is larger thatn most people realize.

We enjoyed both Granada and Barcelona.

Vueling is the lower cost version of Iberia so if they fly that route that would be another option and cheaper. Note spelling is Granada.

Last Jul I flew on Iberia from the US to Santorini and from Tel Aviv to the US and it was fine. I use to work in the airline industry and Iberia was never a problem carrier. Vueling gets good reviews on this website.

In addition to agreeing with all the comments saying Vueling is fine, it's also probably the only non-stop option on that route. If you see a nonstop marketed by Iberia, it's most likely a codeshare, operated by Vueling.

Take Vueling. Get your tickets at least a month in advance as planes fill up and prices rise. Take the aeroporto bus into town. Try to stay near Cathedral or Plaza Nueva. That area is where the action and is. Lots of buses stop there. Can even walk to/fro Alhambra.

Many thanks for your responses. We are considering our options and the nonstop one+ hour flight is the most attractive especially now with your reported positive experiences. Also appreciate the Granada bus and lodging location information.
