Have any of you traveled from Seville to the Los Angeles area and if so do you have any helpful tips as to what works best?
I am looking to see what airports you went to and what those flights are like. I found one that goes from Seville to Barcelona to LAX and it has a 5 hour layover. I tend to stress out making connections and I travel alone.
When we were in Seville there was no direct flights to the US. Would have to connect via Madrid or perhaps London or Paris. We actually came home from Malaga but it is my understanding that Delta no longer flies that route. Not sure what you are asking.
Why not fly out of Madrid? You could take the high-speed train from Seville into Madrid and then a train or bus to the airport.
You could also check on connections through Frankfurt or Lisbon. Untied airlines goes through Frankfurt a lot. The one time I flew to Andalucía I flew through Madrid. Inside of Spain you’ll most likely be flying on Iberia Airlines.

If this a single ticket itinerary, there should be no problem making the connection in Barcelona.
The Sevilla to BCN to LAX flight itinerary sounds very straightforward and easy.
We took the train Sevilla to Madrid to fly home to the US so you can look at those flights too.
You guys are great. Thanks for giving me some options. I do appreciate it.
High speed trains (such as from Seville to Madrid) in Spain are great, but if you go that route I would not take the train the same day as your Madrid-USA flight. Take it the day before and sleep in Madrid the night before your flight.
If you miss that long-haul international flight because your train is canceled or delayed, you will be on the hook for what will likely be a very expensive last-minute ticket (even if you can apply the value of your flight, the fare difference between when you bought the flight and buying a replacement flight last minute is likely to be large).
