Hello
I am Flying into Dublin 9/2/18 at 5:30 am from Dulles with my connection to Madrid at 6:30 am, same airline. Is it possible to clear customs and catch my flight or should I plan on spending the first day of my 15 day Spain vacation in Dublin?

It is enough time otherwise the Aer Lingus would not sell you that ticket.

As long as your first flight is pretty much on time, you should be fine. Connecting in Dublin is fairly easy and there will be airport staff stationed along the transfer corridor to direct you to the right areas.
BTW: It's "Aer" Lingus
