We are arriving in Madrid in mid-June and spending 2 nights there. We will end up in Barcelona for 4 nights 6 days later. So we have 5 nights available. Definitely want to go to Seville but not sure how to proceed from there. 2 nights in Seville? Cordoba? Granada? Toledo? Hire a car? Train? White Hill Towns? HELP!?
Pegmed,
All the cities you've mentioned are great choices.
The dilemma is now trying to decide which of those wonderful cities you'll want to visit.
Will you be flying home out of Madrid or Barcelona?
Consider the following:
Toledo is an easy 30 minute train ride from Madrid.
Córdoba is 1Hr,42 minutes via AVE train ( high speed) from Madrid
Sevilla is on the same train route as Córdoba, so you could visit Córdoba for part of the day before heading to Sevilla.
Córdoba >> Granada via bus will take 2 hours
Sevilla >> Granada via bus will take about 3 hours
Granada >> Barcelona travel time via train/bus = 7 hours 40 minutes.
Since you only have 5 nights, that's equivalent to 4 full days (minus travel time).
Given your short time frame, I'd suggest choosing 2 cities to visit (besides Toledo).
You could easily visit Toledo as a day trip (from Madrid), then take train to Córdoba & spent 1-2 nights
there, before traveling to either Granada or Sevilla for the remaining 3 nights.
You may consider flying from Sevilla (or Granada) to Barcelona to save some time.
Happy planning!

You can buy train tickets in advance (90 days) for considerable savings... just make sure you pay with Pay Pal.
If you choose Granada over Sevilla, make sure you book your tickets for the Alhambra way in advance!

You sure you don't have 6 nights in question? (six days later makes for six nights later as well)
Anyhow you have me a little confused, so dates would help.
From Madrid head to nearby Toledo for 1 night.
Return to Madrid Atocha Station and take the AVE train to Sevilla for 2 nights.
Then travel by train via a sightseeing stop in Cordoba (for the Mezquita) to Granada for 2 nights.
Check Vueling for flights from Granada to Barcelona for your final 4 nights.
If you indeed have a 6th night available, then extend Sevilla (or Madrid) to 3 nights.
