We will be in Barcelona the first week of October. How far in advance do we need to buy our tickets. We understand the need to do so for all the advantages but not sure of our exact preferred daily schedule yet. Thanks Todd
Purchase them as soon as you know the day you want to attend. I think you can actually get them only a few days in advance, but not sure.
A few days is plenty. It also depends on when you want to go, weekends can be busier (sell out) more than weekdays.
It's a matter of personal style whether to buy as soon as possible or wait until a few days before. We usually buy tickets well in advance for the very popular tourist sights, such as La Sagrada, then rough in the rest of the day around that.
I suggest getting the 9:00 am entrance before the crowds and tour buses show up.
You can get them as late as a few days before, especially in October. No panicking :)
PS. Btw, there's no shortening names over here since they might then make no sense -or worse, cause confusion with a different place all together, that's especially true with the names of the streets. I'm pointing this out as per chun's post... La Sagrada is like if you were referring to "Saint" when you mean to say Saint Paul's in London for example: it simply makes no sense.
