I'm going on the Rick Steves Spain tour next May. I want to add days prior or after the tour and go to some unique places-love food and small villages/towns. Will not have a car.
My husband has never been to Paris (I've been twice) but we could take high speed train south from there before our tour starts in Barcelona.
Or.... we could start our tour and then when it ends in Seville, travel to Portugal.
Any ideas?
If you have the time, why not do both? Paris and Portugal would be fantastic book-ends to your tour!
Vueling.com has nonstop flights from CDG (Charles de Gaull airport) to Barcelona. I suggest flying into Paris and out of Lisbon.
To get from Sevilla to PT take a direct bus from Sevilla to Tavira (2h) and sleep in Tavira to explore the Algarve. From Tavira take a direct bus to Lisbon (4h 15m).
Thank you Marypat,
Great information for me!
