A few days in Toledo

I am attending a wedding in Toledo in May. Decided to get a room in Mora (much cheaper) and so I'm planning to rent a car in Madrid so that I can get back and forth between the two towns for the 3 days I'll be there. Is parking in Toledo going to be difficult? If so, do you have any tips?

I would have preferred to use public transit from Madrid and around town but the hotel prices were just too much for me!

Does the car cost not cancel out the room savings?
Best to share the wedding location so someone can advise on parking, though Google Maps is always helpful for showing lots and garages.

It is easy to find parking space out of the historical center.
In the historical center it is difficult to park and you have to pay. There are machines to pay for the parking tickets. I think maximum parking time is 2 hours.
One more thing. Driving in the historical center is only for locals. Many streets are so narrow that cars cannot pass through them.
My recommendation: Find a cheap hotel in Madrid.

Mora is a 30 minutes drive to Toledo in case you were unaware. In Toledo we’ve stayed at the Parador and also Hotel María Cristina. The Parador is a couple miles outside of town and has free parking. The María Cristina has its own pay parking garage.

There are a number of free parking lots around Toledo and also pay parking garages. In 2024 we parked in a free lot that was behind the train station since the other free lots were filled.

If you need to park in the historic center, enter through the Bisagra gate and follow the road up the hill and past the Alcázar and Zocodover plaza. The road turns left and there is a parking garage on the right.

I might be able to provide better suggestions if you noted where the wedding was taking place, as valadelphia suggested.
