7 Nights in Spain

I'm seeing some enticing deals for Spain flights into Madrid, Barcelona, and Malaga from the Friday before Thanksgiving through the Saturday after Thanksgiving. With 7 nights in Spain, which of these itineraries would you go for?

4 nights in Madrid/3 nights in Sevilla
4 nights in Madrid, with 1 day trip to Toledo/3 nights in Sevilla
4 nights in Madrid, with 1 day trip to Toledo/3 nights in Sevilla, with 1 day trip to Cordoba
2 nights each: Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada, 1 night in Malaga
2 nights each: Madrid, Sevilla, Cordoba; 1 night in Granada
5 nights in Barcelona, 2 in Valencia
4 nights in Barcelona, 3 in Madrid

Or how else would you divide up a week in Spain for a first time visit?

Most people pick and choose a favorite between Madrid and Barcelona. For me, I'm a Barcelona girl lol, so I personally wouldn't spend much time in Madrid. I think 2 days is more than enough to do the touristy sites then go out in the La Latina area (it was my favorite part!). Definitely get to Toledo if you can. It's a very charming town, similar to the Italian hill towns.

Now would you be flying in and out of 1 city? You'd either have to pick the north or the south for 1 week's time. If you can fly in and out of a different city, that would make a big difference in which itinerary I chose. For the north, you'll have to get back to Madrid/Barcelona, whereas if you flew say, into Madrid and out from Malaga, you'd save a lot of time. Sounds like you're leaning a bit to the south, so I would see if that was an option, then maybe go for option 2, 3 or 5 (I'd just cut down on Madrid time and get Toledo in). Barcelona deserves a lot of time, so if you're dead set on going there I'd lean toward the last 2 options, and you'd have time to do some of the surrounding areas. But it will be mostly a city vacation then. Just depends what you're looking to get out of the trip. :)

I am an Andalucia fan, so I'd go Seville/Cordoba/Granada. Maybe 4/1/2?
I also quite like Barcelona, so maybe 4 Barcelona/3 Seville?

Or a big city split - 3 Madrid (maybe with day trip to Toledo?)/4 Barcelona.

Many wonderful possibilities there. As a weather-sensitive traveler (I hate the combination of cold and wet), I'd be checking the historical weather patterns for a late-November trip. That data might result in an all-Andalusia trip for me.

With only 7 nights at your disposal, something has to give. I would suggest on this occasion leaving Barcelona for a future visit. Then decide whether to include Granada, or not.

Day 1 - Arrive Madrid (3 nights)
Day 2 - Madrid sights
Day 3 - Day trip to Toledo
Day 4 - Train to Córdoba. Store luggage. Visit Mezquita. Train to Sevilla (2 nights)
Day 5 - Sevilla sights
Day 6 - Train to Granada (2 nights)
Day 7 - Alhambra
Day 8 - Depart

Without Granada you can add an extra night to Madrid (and day trip to Segovia) as well as Sevilla (and visit Córdoba as a day trip).
