My daughter and I are in Seville for 7 nights in May. Looking for recommendation of maybe 2 day trips that good. I'm open to renting a car or doing bus or train.
The classic, easy one is Cordoba. It's 45 minutes on the fast train, longer in a car so train is best. You will get to see the famous Mesquita-Cathedral which is unlike anything else, and the town itself is pleasant.
Cadiz, Ronda, white hill towns (a car is useful for the smaller towns), or Jerez (famous for their sherry wine) are other popular choices. I have not done all these but can say that Ronda is very impressive.
After Cordoba, Jerez de la Frontera is interesting and you would want to tour a sherry winery such Tio Pepe. Cadiz is one of the oldest cities in Europe and a day there by the sea could be enjoyable.
Cordoba is just 45 mins by train.
Jerez is just 60 mins by train.
Cadiz is 1 hr 45 mins by train.
Italica or Arcos de la Frontera are both easy by bus.
