I am spending a week in Seville at the end of my 3 weeks in Spain. I am curious about what the best day trip would be. I have thought about Cordoba, Cadiz, Jerez? I would appreciate any thoughts/suggestions.
Cordoba is the top side trip, though spending a night or two there is even better.
There are direct trains from the Sevilla-Santa Justa train station to Córdoba (1h), Jerez de la Frontera (1h 15m) and Cádiz (1h 45m): https://www.renfe.com/es/en. Try to buy your train tickets 60 days out to get the best rate and guarantee a reservation. These trains sell out.
In 2017, we took a day trip from Sevilla to Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz with Naturanda. We enjoyed Jerez and loved Cadiz - would love to spend a few days there.

Córdoba, Cádiz and Jerez de la Frontera are popular destinations. Not knowing where else you will have been or how you’re getting around, consider Zafra, Mérida, Carmona, and El Rocío. Each is less than two hours away. Slightly further away at about 2.5 hours are Cáceres, Trujillo, and Guadalupe.
Thank you for your suggestions. I think I will go to Cordoba as a day trip.
