5 or 6 days by car South of Sevilla

My wife will be visiting Seville in early October 2017. After several days in Seville we are planning to rent a car and spend some 5 or 6 days driving through the areas south and west. Places of interest include Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, and several "white Villages" such as Arcos, Grazalema, and Ronda. Most important that we be in Jerez for the performmance by the Andalusians.

Would prefer to do this from maximum of 2 "home base" hotels.

Looking for recommendations on routing, home base cities, and any other input.

Easy peasy.

Day
1. Drive from Sevilla via Arcos to Jerez (3 nights)
2. Day in Jerez
3. Day to Cadiz (leave the car behind and take the train)
4. Drive to Ronda (2 nights)
5. Day exploring white villages - Zahara + Grazalema
6. Return to Sevilla

Enjoy !!

I would take the train (in fact I did :-) to Jerez and stay there for a couple nights. Day trip to Cadiz by train (short walk to the historic center and TI, then another short walk to the beach and other sights) , maybe even to Arcos by bus - depending on how the schedule works out for what I assume is the horse show at the Royal Equestrian School. Check the website for the days there are shows and buy tickets in advance. Even in February the line can be long and the performance will sell out. I believe if you get there early you can see the horses up close before the show begins. Allow some time to walk around the lovely grounds as well. Rent a car in Jerez and spend the rest of your nights in Ronda. It's a good base to visit the pueblos blancos. Scenic drives, watch for the pull-outs to admire the views. Drop the car wherever you need to be at the end of the trip (Sevilla airport?). Allow time in Ronda to see the city's sights.

I prefer driving since I can go when and where I want without having to work around a train or bus schedule. As long as you'll have the rental car, i'd keep it the entire time from leaving Sevilla until you return. Arcos and Ronda would make nice bases. With a car you can visit more than just Arcos, Grazalema, and Ronda. Ronda is really a town, not a city. It has one main street that runs through the middle of it.
