5 nights in Seville, Day Trip from Seville

We (2 adults and 2 kids - 5, 8yr) are traveling to Seville in the last week of April for 5 nights.

I have booked one-day trip to the Aracena & Rio Tinto Mines Tour.

I have booked the walking tour, the Flamanco show and, the Alcazar.

Please suggest some day trips we can go for and also things to do around in 5 days.

Are you visiting the Cathedral? Not a day trip, but you might want to book in advance. Christopher Columbus's tomb is unique and might be of interest - but maybe small kids aren't told the Columbus stories these days the way I was back in the dark ages!

Italica is a Roman ruins near Seville, complete with amphitheater. You can take the public bus or see about tours.

A performance at The Royal School of Equestrian Arts in Jerez is pretty special. There was a school field trip seeing the performance when I was there. The young (grade school age) kids seemed to be really enjoying seeing the horses perform. I did as well.

After the show at noon, the Sandeman sherry bodega next door has an English language tour well timed at 2pm.

You may also consider a day trip to Cadiz. Lovely port city, only a bit more than an hour away.

A second for the Mezquita in Cordoba…incredible! Also, if the kids are rule conforming, the rooftop tour of the Seville Cathedral is awesome. And, they might enjoy Las Setas de Sevilla. Have fun!

The Triana neighborhood in Seville. The Archive of the Indies if that interests you, note the special exhibition this spring. It's next to the cathedral. Cordoba's Mezquita is beautiful and especially interesting in contrast to the cathedral of Seville. Cordoba is about 45 minutes by train. It's on the line to Madrid, so you could stop there on your way to or from Seville if your trip includes Madrid.
