4 nights in Seville/Day Trips?

I am working on a plan for 6 nights in Spain on our own after 12 day RSteves Portugal. We will fly from Porto to Barcelona on May 17th, and spend 2 nights in Barcelona. Thinking HCC Montblanc hotel. Would love any other suggestions. We will take the AVE train from Barcelona to Seville (5.5 hours) on May 19th. We have only 4 nights in Seville area. Suggestions for good central hotel? ($ 150-200)
Should we stop in Cordoba for one night on way to Seville? Or stay whole time in Seville. What day trips out of Seville would be nice, near ocean. We plan for this part of the trip to be fairly mellow, immersing in the culture, restaurants, walking, hanging out. Not running and gunning it, if possible. Would like to see Alcazar Palace and Gardens if possible, a Flamenco show-suggestions? Flying out on May 23rd. Thanks you all! strong text

Yes, I would recommend staying overnight in Cordoba. That leaves only three days for Sevilla; I don't think you'd have time for day trips.

Seville is about two hours from the Atlantic (more or less) ---for a day trip to the sea, the easiest would be to go to either Sanlucar de Barrameda or Cadiz/Puerto Santa Maria. Prepare for hot weather in Andalucia, in late May.

Seville is great but Cordoba is really special. The Mezquita is absolutely a bucket list item and Cordoba's warren-like streets are just really evocative. NH Amistad is a nice central located hotel.

Cordoba old town is whole day walking event, beautiful, very busy.
Hint: At the The Mezquita,, a must see,,
If approached by woman, outside the main gates,
bearing herbs, and wanting to give you the " Luck giving herb:.
Filmy say, no in not interested, they will still try to give you it, or someone your with.
Then once you touch it,,, its 5 Euro per person , that they want, and will yell at you, if you don't pay,,,,,,,,,, a scam

As a Córdoba and guide I really recomend visit Córdoba , at least one day.
We have the Mosque Cathedral, a very unique monument.

We spent 5 nights in Seville and 2 nights in Cordoba this past November. i'd highly recommend a night in Cordoba, or at least a day trip from Seville. The Mezquita was probably my favorite sight, although I loved just about everything.

The Rick Steves guidebook recommends walking tour guides and a Mezquita tour guide that we thought were great. You can read about them in my trip report here:

https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/trip-reports/trip-report-analucia-and-madrid-in-november

With the amount of time you have, I'd focus only on Seville itself (lots to see) and Cordoba.
