Which location is better to stay in in Barcelona? El Born, Old El Raval, Barri/Gotic? We are both in our 60s and don't care for late-night stuff, and plan on site seeing. We want to be near tapas places within walking distance.

El Born and Barrio Gotico are both ok, but can be quite noisy with late night revelers. Don't go to El Raval, bad part of town.
My personal preference would be the Eixample or Gracia
