2 nites White Hill Towns - itinerary

We are developing an itinerary (it's a May 2023 trip, but planning is half the fun, in the meantime, headed to South America!) and looks like we might have only 2 full days/nites to see some of the pretty White Hill towns. Not sure how we will arrive, but does anyone have suggestions for which towns are prettiest and maybe more easily accessible--I know some aren't accessible by train? Haven't ruled out a car, and not sure where we will be coming from yet - potentially Malaga/Torremolinos or maybe Rota. How might you map out visiting a couple of these towns on a full 2-day itinerary? Thanks much!

If coming from Rota you’ll need a rental car. There is no train service. From Rota you could drive to Arcos de la Frontera (about 45 minutes), then continue over to Zahara de la Sierra, down to Grazalema and finally to Ronda for the night. To me, those are the main towns, but a couple other towns are Ubrique, Olvera, and Benaocaz. To save time, the white towns are most easily visited by car. It’s difficult to provide a return since you really don’t seem to know if you’re returning to the starting point or another location. I’ll assume there’s a military connection to Rota. Check rental car availability from either the base or a local agency. If you can’t get one there, Jerez de la Frontera is somewhat nearby and has a rental car facility at its airport. You could also take the ferry over to Cadiz (if it’s still running) and pick one up there.
