2 nights in Coastal Town or Andalucia?

Hello! I will be finishing grad school in Summer 2024, and my husband and I are in the very beginning stages of planning a celebratory trip to Spain in September 2024. So far, I am thinking of the following:

Fly into Barcelona for at least 3 nights

Fly to Mallorca (Palma, or another neighborhood?) for 3 nights

Fly to Seville for 3 nights

Train to Madrid OR Fly to London for 2 nights (we would fly from Seville to London for cheaper flights back home to Florida)

I would like to fit in 2 more nights in another coastal town or Andalucia town somewhere in the itinerary - we really want to experience an "authentic" Spanish town and a relaxing atmosphere. We are in our early 30s, enjoy good local food and wine (wine tours would be a plus!), great views, and a bit of nightlife (ex. lively wine bars, not clubs). We are not so much interested in art/museums, but do enjoy strolling around historic areas. We like small to medium-sized towns/cities compared to big cities - for example, we much preferred Strasbourg France to Paris. We do not plan on renting a car, so we will depending on public transport (trains/buses), but would also consider hiring a private transfer if need be. Any suggestions on which town to add to our itinerary? Also, any hotel suggestions would be much appreciated :)

Since you will be in Sevilla, how about a coastal town in Andalucía; Cádiz. If you’ve never been there it’s worth a couple nights. If you wanted even smaller towns, then maybe. Chipiona or Rota might work for you. There are a number of small coastal towns in the Cádiz area along the Costa de la Luz.

What you've laid out gives you just two full days in Barcelona (one hopes you won't still be significantly jetlagged or sleep deprived on Day 2), two full days in Mallorca and two full days in Seville. For me, all of those times are inadequate. You have two extra nights; you'll need one of them at your departure point; I'd apply the other to one of your existing stops--probably Mallorca since you may be less likely to return there. You are likely to be back at least near Seville since you are skipping Granada, Cordoba, etc., this time. Catalunya has a lot to offer, so I anticipate a return to Barcelona at some point as well.

Actually, I'd choose two of your three destinations to avoid a trip with so many travel days. Right now your trip is 12 days, and you're traveling (relocating with baggage) on 6 of them. There are nice smaller towns/cities to be visited on Mallorca as well as around Barcelona and Seville, so you could see a variety of places from just two bases.

Seville, incidentally, may still be quite hot in September. You can find actual, day-by-day, historical weather statistics on the website timeanddate.com:
