2 evenings in Granada - general planning help and restaurant recommendations needed

Granada is our first destination upon arrival to Spain. We are taking a 4 PM flight from Madrid on April 5th (Thursday). Going to Alhambra on Friday morning (bought Granada Cards) and staying another night in Granada. On Saturday, we'll stay in Granada until lunch. After lunch we'll pick up our rental car and drive to Ronda. The idea is to get to Ronda in time to watch the sunset (weather permitting of course).

I am looking for suggestions on where to go in the evening of arrival to make it memorable but also easy/restful. Both general location and restaurant suggestions are welcome.

For the next day (Friday), would it make sense to take a break after touring Alhambra then go to Albayzin later in the afternoon (6-7 PM) and stay there for dinner? Is a walking tour recommended or can we easily follow a walking route?

For dinner, it would be wonderful to end up somewhere where we could enjoy the famous Alhambra night view but not necessarily go to an expensive restaurant for that. I found several recommendations on the forum for high-end restaurants which look really nice. But given that we would still have several destinations ahead of us where we would also be spending money, a nice mid-range place would work great.

If that all worked, we would go to the Cathedral and the surrounding areas on Saturday morning.

Be sure to see La Capilla Real. The Catholic kings are buried there..

San Nicolas in the Albaycin is a famous viewpoint of the Alhambra. it is generally very crowded but the views are breathtaking. Just be alert for pickpockets. You might want to hire a guide or take a tour if this is your first time. Those windy, tiny streets can be confusing. But, if you are adventurous and confident by all means explore!

For a nice lunch or dinner, go to the Zparador. Overlooks the Alhambra.

We just returned from a three week trip to Andalusia. We stayed in Granada for four nights and had a ball. We enjoyed dinner at the Mirador de Morayma up on the Albaizin. It’s a few minutes walk from the mirador San Nicolas, where you can enjoy the fabulous view of the Alhambra at sunset. It wasn’t too expensive and we really enjoyed it. Have fun!

The mriador St Nicholas is amazing. The Alhambra looks absolutely stunning on an evening but to be honest its a bit of a treck to get up there, we actually got lost trying to come down from there!

I really liked Calle Elvira and the area around there with the Moroccan shops selling different spices, teas, sweets, leather goods etc.
